Bahubali fame actress Tamannaah Bhatia has decided to do her bit for the causes she believes in. The actress will be working for the welfare of girl empowerment. Being a girl she wants to take the responsibility of creating awareness. She has been roped in as the brand ambassador of the campaign ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, an initiative of Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI).
Tamannaah recently flew to Agra where the official announcement was made and a special meet and greet was also held. According to an insider, Tamannaah was also seen spending some time and interacting with few underprivileged girls under this initiative. The national initiative aims for the welfare and education of girl children especially in the rural areas.
Happy about being a part of such a noble initiative, Tamannaah said, “I’m glad that I can contribute to the national initiative of #betibachaobetipadhao by being FOGSI’s brand ambassador. Girl education is a serious issue in our country and it needs the maximum awareness possible. Being a girl I feel proud that I got this chance to contribute in encouraging woman empowerment and fight against the injustice prevailing towards them. I am hoping that my contribution would help us to eradicate this issue and make our country a better place to live.”
