PROMO REVIEW: Y.A.R.O ka Tashan

The announcement of SAB TV’s Y.A.R.O ka Tashan did not create any waves but the promo did make people get up and take notice.

It starts with Y.A.R.O walking into a canteen with his friends, one of them who tells him, “Y.A.R.O remember, respect men ki nai, gentlemen ki hoti hai’ which by the way, is absolutely not true. And when Y.A.R.O enquires how to become one, another of his friend tells him, “jaise khud baithne ke pehle, ladies ki chair pull karna”.

And that does it. Y.A.R.O goes around the canteen pulling all the chairs on which the ladies are sitting. Not only that, he also makes a pile of them and proclaims, “Y.A.R.O bann gaya Gentleman!”

That was the only punch in the promo. Otherwise, the promo showed us what already is there on the television screens. Yes, we are referring to Life OK’s ongoing show Bahu Hamari Rajni_kant.

The show too deals with the theme of a Robot living as a human. With Y.A.R.O, however, the case is that he has an artificial heart already, and his friends are trying to imbibe emotions in him.
What we found different in Y.A.R.O is nothing. It has the same Robot concept that has already been explored by Bahu Hamari Rajni_kant. SAB TV cannot count on this show unless the makers get something really out of the box with this one.
