Aparshakti Khurrana who is currently riding high with his scene stealing performance as Aamir Khan’s nephew in Dangal, has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. In October he allegedly barged into the restricted area of an airport and got into a scuffle with a CISF personnel.
The young actor-radio jockey and sibling to Ayushmann Khurrana who is currently being praised for his performance in Dangal, has now been charge-sheeted and could be looking at a jail term.
Or so claim reports. Understandably reluctant to talk about the incident Aparshakti says, “Let’s not jump the gun. Those who know me are wondering if the person being written about is me. My friends and family know what I am like.”
Press him to tell what he is like and Aparshakti says, “I am not the least violent or aggressive. I don’t get into fights. I’d never do anything to shame my brother or family.”
So is he denying the incident? Aparshakti replies quietly, “I am not saying anything about the incident. All I’m saying is, whatever happened was unfortunate and regrettable. Beyond that I don’t want to think, let alone talk about this incident. I am right now enjoying the attention I am getting for my role in Dangal. I’d rather not think about anything unpleasant.”
He adds that the matter is being looked into. “Hopefully the matter will come to a comfortable close.”
